SOTW: Crown and the M.O.B / Love My People

Music Is My Religion is psyched to announce a new blog series; the Song of the Week. Every week, a song will be featured as The song to check out and listen to. Could be old, could be new, could be obscure, could be somewhat popular but rest assured, it will be hot.

This week, which is the start of February and of Black History Month, the SOTW is Love My People by Crown and the M.O.B, a Brooklyn-bred, Venice Beach-based rapper, who along with his band, Message of the Blues, have created a contemporary sound integrating old school hip hop with the rich, horns of a bygone, do-wop era.

In light of the current racial tensions present all over the US, sometimes you need to stop the cycle of hatred and support, encourage and love your people, whoever they may be. Check it out!
